Slavs and Tatars solo exhibition, ‘The Contest of the Fruits’ is on view at esea contemporary in Manchester, United Kingdom, from 14 June until 14 September 2025.
Organized by Artistic Director Xiaowen Zhu and Curator Jo-Lene Ong, the artist collective's first UK institutional solo exhibition explores language, politics, religion, and humor through the lens of a 19th-century Uighur poem, reimagined as a vibrant animated film and rap battle.
