Curated Sabine Bitter and Helmut Weber in collaboration with Huda Lutfi.
Cairo: Fabric of the Everyday explores the city’s rich cultural, religious, and architectural heritage and its deep influence on daily life. In a city marked by rapid development and continuous transformation, everyday practices create new social spaces that reshape public life. Through photography, video, sculpture, and installations, this exhibition highlights the often-overlooked rhythms of Cairo’s daily life and how these patterns reflect the city’s ongoing transformation. It highlights how everyday actions and the spaces where they unfold play a crucial role in shaping and sustaining the vibrant urban fabric of contemporary Cairo.
This exhibition is part of the international initiative 'Imagine Climate Dignity' launched by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Forum Cairo.
As part of this exhibition, Huda Lutfi will be participating in a series of talks and panel discussions at Austrian Cultural Forum
