The Third Line is proud to announce that artist Abbas Akhavan has been selected as one of the 5 recipients of the Abraaj Group Art Prize 2014. The Abraaj Group Art Prize is awarded annually to five artists on the basis of proposals for new artworks, which become permanent additions to The Abraaj Group Art Collection following their unveiling at Art Dubai (March 19 - 22, 2014).

The Third Line is pleased to present 'Close-up', Farhad Moshiri’s fourth solo exhibition at the gallery. Farhad's new body of work employs his signature technique of hand-embroidering beads to form reproductions of photographs. In the same vein, The Third Line welcomes back Abbas Akhavan for his third solo exhibition⏤'recently' at the gallery.

The Third Line participates in the 7th edition of Frieze New York with a group presentation of works by Abbas Akhavan, Farhad Moshiri, Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, Sahand Hesamiyan, Slavs and Tatars, Sophia Al Maria and Youssef Nabil. The booth showcases a variety of works extracted from each of the artists own conceptual roots to fit in a space where they physically interact with one another, devoid of a linear, single-narrative.
